The Postgraduate Program Secretariat will receive the applications and the necessary supporting documents submitted by the candidates within the deadlines set out in the Call for expression of interest. After checking the validity and completeness of the supporting documents submitted by each candidate and she draws up a list of candidates which then forwards to the Selection Board. The supporting documents submitted by the candidate(s) must be complete, as specified in the relevant Call for expression of interest.
The Selection Board, checks the supporting documents submitted and draws up the final list of candidates.
The marks awarded to the candidate on the basis of his/her specific qualifications and his/her performance in the oral interview are added together and constitute the candidate’s total number of marks. This total determines the order of merit of each candidate. On the basis of the total number of marks obtained by each candidate, the selection board will draw up a merit list of candidates. All candidates will be included in the merit list in order of merit. After taking into account the number of posts advertised, it shall then draw up the lists of successful candidates in alphabetical order and the lists of successful candidates in merit order, which it shall forward and submit to the Assembly for approval.
The list of successful candidates, after the ratification of the Assembly, is posted on the Department’s notice boards and on the Internet. Successful candidates are notified to enrol in the MSc within a specific period of time, which is determined by the Department.
