According to the decision no. 12863 of the Senate of the University of the Aegean (Government Gazette vol. B’ 2227/12.04.2024, article 3.), for the establishment, organization, and operation of the P.P., the competent bodies/committees are:
1. The Senate of the Institution.
2. The Postgraduate Studies Committee (P.S.C.).
3. The Assembly of the Department.
4. The Coordinating Committee (C.C.) of the P.P..
5. The Director of the P.P. (and the Deputy Director).
6. The Examination/Selection Committee for Postgraduate Students.
Composition of the Coordinating Committee
According to paragraphs 1 and 2 of article 81 and paragraph 3 of article 82 of Law 4950/2022, the Coordinating Committee (C.C.) of the P.P. consists of the Director of the Program and four (4) members of faculty of the Department, who have a related subject to that of and undertake teaching work at the Postgraduate Program. The members of C.C. are determined by decision of the Department’s Assembly for a two-year term.
Following its restructuring during the academic year 2024-2024, the Comittee is composed of the following faculty members of the Department:
1. Professor Georgios Fesakis, Director and Scientific Coordinator of the P.P. (since 13.12.2024 by decision of the 4th Session of the Assembly of the Department, topic 4.21)
2. Professor Angelique Dimitrakopoulou (since 16.07.2025 by decision of the 12th Session of the Assembly of the Department, topic 4.16)
3. Professor Anastasios Kontakos
4. Professor Soultana Kafoussi
5. Professor Vasileios Papavasileiou (since 26.02.2025 by decision of the 6th Session of the Assembly of the Department, topic 5.6)
